Every part of the chimney has its own page.
The 23 services below are the services Chimney Champ’s offers from its New Bedford location, arranged in the order a chimney is built: the fire at the bottom, the flue in the middle, the weather at the top. Each page explains the symptoms, what we examine, what the work can include and where its limits are.
Sweeping & Draft
Soot, creosote, animals and smoke that will not go up the flue.
- Chimney SweepingBrushing soot and loose creosote out of the flue, then explaining what the deposits show about the chimney.
- Creosote RemovalBreaking down and clearing crusted or glazed creosote that a routine sweep leaves stuck to the flue.
- Animal removalGetting birds, squirrels and raccoons out of the flue without harm, clearing the nest and capping the top.
- Downdraft repairTracing why smoke or cold air comes down the chimney, then correcting the flue, the top or the air supply.
- Chimney fan installationA powered exhauster mounted on the flue top for chimneys that cannot draw reliably by themselves.

Masonry & Structure
Brick, mortar and the chimney stack itself.

- Chimney Liner InstallationRunning a stainless liner down an existing flue, sized for the boiler, water heater, stove or insert it serves.

We do not work on gas lines or gas appliances, and we do not quote prices before seeing a chimney. If you cannot tell which page applies, the service finder on the home page or a routine inspection is the place to start.
